CRS has a special link for registration that will allow us to earn $$ to help offset expenses for the Conference. You can help us by using this link. In addition, the affiliate portion asks you to select only one affiliation, please select CRS as your affiliate. After selecting CRS as your affiliate, you can then select your designations.

If you are attending the conference and expo, you must register online.


Note: Governance Meeting Attendees Only. This form cannot be used for your registration to the conference and expo. This form is strictly for reserving a hotel only. With this form you will not receive a badge. Only conference and expo attendees receive a badge.

CRS Inaugural and Awards Dinner

Come join us for a night of dinner, dancing, award presentations and the installation ceremony of one of Florida's special members. Mary McCall, CRS, will be installed as the Council's 2013 President along with Ron Canning, CRS from Cincinnati, OH, 2013 President Elect.

Also included in the evening's festivities will be the Council's award presentations for the top Chapters and President's Awards.

The CRS Inaugural and Award Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Renaissance Sea World hotel.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

The Council will be headquartered at the Renaissance Sea World.  The hotel information is as follows:

Services at the Renaissance include: room service, fitness center, outdoor pool & waterpark, full service business center, Self parking is $16 per day, Valet parking is $21 per day, Internet $14.95 in room per day; the fee also includes unlimited local calls,.  Your guest room is equipped with an iron and board, hair dryer, safe deposit box, mini fridge, and coffee maker.

CAN I BE REACHED AT THE ABOVE RENAISSANCE PHONE NUMBER?

Only if you have a reservation at the Renaissance.  If not, the quickest way for someone to reach you is via your personal cell phone.

WHERE SHOULD I SLEEP?

Make your life easy - stay at the Renaissance.  You won't have to jump in a taxi to get to the meetings on time and if you are spending a small amount of time at the Expo, you can just hop in a taxi or walk.  

HOW DO I GET TO THE HOTEL?

If you are flying, you will arrive in Orlando at the Orlando International Airport (MCO).  The airport is approximately 15 minutes from our hotel.  The following modes of transportation are available from the airport:

Aiport Shuttle:  Mears Shuttle Service is $17 for one way.  A reservation is required, so make sure to call ahead of time to reserve your spot.  You can make your reservation by calling 407.423.5566 or by going to Mears Transportation.

Taxi: A taxi will cost you approximately $30 for one way.

Limo:  Limousines are available for hire.  Please call the bell stand at the hotel for arrangements.

SHOULD I CHECK MY HOTEL CONFIRMATION?

Yes!  Do not wait to make sure that everything is correct on the confirmations.  It is so easy to key in the wrong arrival or spell a name incorrectly.  Please verify the following details to assure a trouble free check-in:

  1.  Is your name spelled correctly?
  2.  Are your arrival and departure dates correct?
  3.  Is your city and state correct?  Is it spelled correctly?
  4.  Are your accommodations as requested?

If any of the above items are incorrect, please contact Experient immediately.  They can be reached by phone at 800.974.3084; by fax at 800.521.6017; or by e-mail.

WHY DOESN'T THE HOTEL HAVE MY CONFIRMATION?

Experient will create a rooming list from your registration form which will be sent to the Renaissance Sea World approximately 30 days prior to the event.  Upon receipt of the rooming list from Experient the Hyatt or your hotel of choice will send you a reservation confirmation.  It is a very good idea to check your confirmation to enusre it is correct. 

WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY BADGE?

Your badge will be mailed to you at the address provided on your registration form.  The badge holder and conference details can be picked up at the CRS Information and ticket desk.

DO I NEED A BADGE?

You will need a badge to participate in any of the events scheduled at the convention center.  All conference attendees need a badge for admittance in the sessions and the expo.  If you prefer to only attend the expo, you can purchase a badge at the convention center.  If you are not attending any of the sessions or the expo you do NOT need a badge.

WHAT CAN I DO OR SEE? 

Orlando has a variety of parks you can visit at Disney World, be sure to check out: Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardents, downtown Disney and many others.  If you want to venture away from the parks you can visit the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Gatorland, the Kennedy Space Center, take a Florida Dolphin tour or enjoy a round of golf at the many golf courses around.

HOW DO I FIND MY MEETING ROOM?

For your convenience, a copy of the Renaissance Sea World floor plan will be available on-site.

WHEN IS THE CRS INAUGURAL AND AWARDS?

Don't miss the installation of our 2013 Leadership. Join us as we celebrate the installation of Mary McCall, CRS 2013 CRS President; Ron Canning, CRS 2013 President Elect. In addition, the President's Awards, Chapter of the Year and the Medallion Award recipients will be awarded. Details are as follows.

WHERE CAN I FIND A PLACE TO EAT?

Orlando has a large variety of restaurants for you to try.  You can head to Walt Disney World for a casual American meal or venture out for some Polynesian food.  Universal Studios has a large variety of such as Hard Rock Cafe or Margaritaville; as well as some more upscale options such as Emeril Lagasse's restaurant, Emiril's Orlando.

If you do not wnat to head towards a theme park you can check out downtown Orlando.  You can ty Lac - Viet Bistro for some Vietnamese or Charley's steak house for a great steak.  There are many other options to check out as well.

The hotel does offer few options if you do not want to wander far.

HOW WILL I GET TO AND FROM THE CONVENTION CENTER?

NAR will operate its shuttle to and from the convention center. Please check back at a later date for the Shuttle Schedule. 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? 

Dress at the meetings is business casual, however should you find some free time to visit some of the better restaurants you may need business or "after five" attire and men will need to wear jackets and ties.  Do not forget comfortable shoes and a light jacket for the evening.

WHAT WILL THE TEMPERATURE BE LIKE?

The average temperatures in November are mid to upper 70's during the day and upper 50's in the evening.  Do not forget comfortable shoes, an umbrella and your sunglasses.

WILL I BE SAFE IN ORLANDO, FL?

Avoid mishaps -- travelers have so much on their minds they forget to be "street smart" and are usually easy targets for crime.  STAY ALERT! 

1.  Do not walk anywhere by yourself.  Go out in groups whenever possible.
2.  Stay on the main streets.  Avoid dark side streets wherever possible.
3.  Do not wear your convention badges on the street.
