CRS Accepts CENTURY 21 Real Estate Course for Elective Credit
CHICAGO, April 3, 2012 — The Council of Residential Specialists has partnered with Century 21 Real Estate LLC to promote real estate education and training to professionals within their respective organizations. Under the agreement, the Council will accept certain CENTURY 21® company courses for elective credit toward the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation.
Through this program, agents will have better access to education in a convenient and familiar setting and at an affordable rate, says Toni Sherman, CRS director of business relations. “By allowing agents the opportunity to use company courses as elective credit, they will have an on-ramp to future CRS courses, especially for those unfamiliar with CRS. For some agents, the company elective course may be the last credit they need to fulfill the requirements to become designated. The Council benefits with increased membership and interest in other CRS offerings, such as eLearning courses, Sell-a-bration® and chapter involvement,” Sherman says.
CREATE 21 Golden Edition is the first CENTURY 21 course to be accepted for elective credit. The four-week online course with accompanying self-study materials is geared toward CENTURY 21 Agents with less than two years experience. CREATE 21 is a real estate sales fundamentals course that helps students understand the techniques and activities that will help them become successful in the real estate business, such as managing their schedule and implementing professional goals. To successfully complete the course, students must complete all online class requirements and generate two listings and one pending sale within a 120-day period.
The Council of Residential Specialists is a not-for-profit affiliate of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® comprised of more than 33,000 members. It awards the CRS Designation to experienced Realtors® who have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate.
